power, pride, and spirit of Australia’s First Nations peoples — just days before the Brisbane Olympic Games

Held on Karangur (Wakka Wakka) Country, this two-day event will feature traditional and contemporary

while embracing a bold future.

Powered by Legacy Projects:
The Mob Games proudly build on three foundational initiatives:
▪ Murgon High School – Alternative Learning Project: Creating real-world pathways for Indigenous youth
through culture, care, and craftsmanship.
▪ The Songline Revitalisation Journey: A national movement reconnecting ancient trade, story, and cultural
routes from the Kimberley to Brisbane.

Why Murgon?
Murgon stands as a symbol of what’s possible when Community, Culture, and Country come first. This is not just an event — it’s a movement to show the world that Indigenous culture is alive, strong, and ready to take centre stage. Just a short drive from Cherbourg — home to over 50 mobs who were forcibly relocated during the mission era — Murgon carries the weight of history and the spark of revival. The Mob Games 2032 will honour the resilience of our ancestors while empowering a new generation to lead with pride, strength, and unity.
